Op deze pagina vindt u bijkomende informatie voor gebruik van gegevens uit de databank van het Hydrologisch InformatieCentrum (HIC). Het HIC is onderdeel van het Waterbouwkundig Laboratorium (Vlaamse overheid). Deze informatie geldt zowel voor door het HIC aangeleverde data als voor via web services bekomen gegevens.
Gegevens uit de databank van het HIC zijn voorzien van kwaliteitsvlaggen. De verklaring van de verschillende kwaliteitscodes ("State of Value", "Quality Code", "Quality Flags") vindt u terug in onderstaande tabel.

Data uit onze databank zijn ook ter beschikking via webservices. Deze zijn vrij toegankelijk, maar gelimiteerd. Een systeem voor meer uitgebreide toegang via een token is beschikbaar en verplicht voor geautomatiseerde databevraging. Voor meer informatie: bekijk dit document.(versie 25/07/2023)
Gebruik van de gegevens
De gegevens uit de databank van het Hydrologisch InformatieCentrum (HIC) zijn bedoeld voor informatieve doeleinden.
Het gebruik ervan is op eigen risico en het HIC kan niet aansprakelijk gesteld worden voor onjuistheden of onvolledigheden in de verstrekte informatie. Het HIC spant zich eveneens in om onderbrekingen van technische aard zo veel mogelijk te voorkomen. We kunnen echter niet garanderen dat de toegang tot de databank via web services volledig vrij is van onderbrekingen en andere technische problemen. Het HIC kan in geen geval tegenover wie dan ook, op rechtstreekse of onrechtstreekse wijze, aansprakelijk gesteld worden door schade te wijten aan het gebruik van deze webservices en bijgevolg evenmin voor informatie die via deze weg wordt aangeboden.
Intellectuele eigendomsrechten
U heeft het recht om de informatie uit de databank van het HIC te
consulteren, voor persoonlijk gebruik te downloaden en te reproduceren mits u
de bron vermeldt, overeenkomstig de bepalingen van de wet van 30 juni 1994
betreffende het auteursrecht en de naburige rechten.
Het HIC behoudt alle intellectuele eigendomsrechten op de ter beschikking
gestelde informatie.

Voor meer informatie over historische gegevens aangeboden via webservices kan u het HIC contacteren via onderstaande contactgegevens.
Bescherming van persoonsgegevens
Departement Mobiliteit en Openbare Werken verwerkt uw persoonsgegevens uitsluitend om uw geautomatiseerde databevraging of andere gegevensvragen te kunnen behandelen. Uw persoonsgegevens worden uitsluitend intern verwerkt en worden niet verder meegedeeld aan derden. We kunnen u dan mogelijks de dienst die u vraagt niet verstrekken. U kunt ook altijd via deze weg vragen welke persoonsgegevens we verwerken en u kunt ze laten verbeteren of verwijderen. The HIC is part of Flanders Hydraulics Research (Flemish Government). This information applies both to data supplied by the HIC and to data obtained through web services.

Data from our database are also available by web services. These are freely accessible, but limited. A system for more extensive access by a token is available and mandatory for automated data retrieval. For more information: check this document. .(version 25/07/2023)
Use of the data
The data from the database of the Hydrological Information Centre (HIC) are intended for information and non-commercial purposes.
Use of this data is at the user's own risk and the HIC may not be held liable for any inaccuracies or omissions in the information provided. The HIC will make every effort to ensure that disruptions of a technical nature are kept to a minimum. However, we cannot guarantee that the access to the database using web services will be completely free of disruptions and other technical problems. The HIC shall under no circumstances be liable, whether directly or indirectly, for any loss or damage caused to any person whomsoever by the use of this web services and, therefore, also not for any information that is provided this way.
Intellectual property rights
You have the right to view the information from the
database of the HIC, to download information for personal use and to reproduce
information, provided the source is acknowledged, in accordance with the
provisions of the Act of 30 June 1994 on copyright and related rights.
The HIC reserve all intellectual property rights in relation to the information
provided.

The department of Mobility and Public Works processes your personal data only to handle your automated data retrieval or other data requests. Your personal data is handled only internally and is not passed on to third parties. If you don’t want us to handle your data, you can report this by filling in the form on our website https://mow-contact.be/stap2.php?vraagtype=10. We may then not be able to provide the service that you request. Also you can always ask which personal data we process and you can have them corrected or deleted. We then request proof of your identity so that we do not communicate your data to anyone who is not entitled to it.
